Irina Magdalena Botan

Since November 2006 I am a Research Assistant (PhD student) in the Systems Group at ETH Zurich working on data streams processing. I received my B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from "Politehnica" University of Bucharest and my M.S. degree in Computer Science from "Babes-Bolyai" University of Cluj-Napoca.

Projects

MaxStream

In the MaxStream project, our goal is to design and build a federated stream processing architecture that seamlessly integrates multiple autonomous and heterogeneous SPEs with traditional databases behind a common SQL-based declarative query interface.

XTream

XTream is a lightweight and extensible platform for highly distributed data stream processing.

UpStream

In the UpStream project, we explore how to efficiently process continuous queries under an update-based stream data model.
