Louis Woods

Since October 2009 I am a Research Assistant (PhD student) in the Systems Group at ETH Zurich. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Gustavo Alonso I am working on FPGAs in the context of modern databases. I received both my B.S. and M.S. degree in Computer Science from ETH Zurich. Industry Experience

• 2011 Microsoft Research
  12-week internship with the Embedded Systems Group at MSR in Redmond, WA. During my internship I worked on a SATA host bus adapter for FPGAs as well as a hardware implementation of a hash table.
