About Me

Hi, I am a Postdoctoral researcher at the Systems Group at ETH Zurich. I joined the group in mid 2015 and really enjoy working with the team. We do many interesting things and I will try to give you a glimps of our work under Section "Research".

At ETH I work with fellow colleagues from the Systems Group on challenges in data centres. In particular, we are interested to model the dynamics of the data centre such that to offer operators insights in the operation and interpretability of the data centre behaviour. I am also interested in how Software Defined Networking ideas can be introduced to the data centre in order to benefit its operation. My special interest goes to enable applications to directly customize the network to their needs.

During my PhD studies I have worked on wireless communications and in particulat UMTS and LTE. My focus was on scheduling and flow management for the radio spectrum. I stayed in the area of wireless  networks during my PostDoc at the University of Bern, where I  first worked on a combination of application design and physical layers data collection for the purposes of localisation. Both signal processing and localization algorithms were covered. Later, I was involved in a EU research project (Mobile Cloud Networking) that addresses virtualization of mobile networks (LTE). My contributions are in the virtualization of the radio segment.
